Question

Why is 2018 the cut off year for not claiming alimony? I have had to pay taxes on $18,00.00 a year since 2003. Why am I penelized? Who decided the year?

why do I have to pay alimony? My income is only $15,000 a year without alimony and yet I have to pay every year since 2003

    Alimony payments resulting from agreements executed after that date can no longer be deducted due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) that Congress signed into law on December 22, 2017
