Why is it asking me to upgrade and pay $40

a refund of 498 and I have been asked to upgrade and pay, WHY?

Once you attempt to enter information that is not supported by the Free Edition of Turbo Tax, the system will prompt you to upgrade to the most suitable version. i try to do electronic file but I can't because the system ask me for $40 or I can't complete it .
