Why is my 2021 return only 28 pages but my 202 return is 178?

Last year, you may have printed out forms that didn't have any activity on it. There are a lot of worksheets that you would be able to print that are not necessary either. You can go through your tax return and see if the main forms are there. Compare it to last year and see which is missing. The difference is probably blank forms and worksheets.
