Why is the 1040x not available on turbotax still but on irs.gov says it is available electronically through tax sites

The amend function will be available after March 25.

Do not rush to amend - no hurry. You have 3 years to amend and amended returns are taking 4-6 months or longer to be processed so waiting a few weeks will make little difference and amending too soon might just compound the problem. (If you amend today you probably will not see the results until August or September).

TurboTax has not finished coding the 1040X to be compliant with the e-filing requirements of the IRS.   It is scheduled to be ready for e-filing on 03/25.    Our engineers are working hard to update many forms due to recent legislation.    Forms are approved by the IRS first, then each software's version of the form also has to be approved before it can be used in the software.
