Why is the form 8582 on your taxes if it doesn’t apply?

TurboTax is aware of the issue that Form 8582 has been included with some returns when such form is not necessary.   Form 8582 relates to passive income and passive losses.  If you do not have this type of income or loss (generally passive income/loss come from ownership in rental properties) follow these steps to delete Form 8582.

1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
