Why is there an issue with the single digit control # on my W-2 to file electronically. There wasn't an issue last year and it was a single digit then too?

I am not sure why there is an issue with a single digit control #, but you can just leave the control number space blank. The control number doesn't affect your tax return in any way, it is just a number that your employer uses to keep track of their W2's
