Why is there no state information imported (Box 14 through 16 on Form 1099-R) along with the federal information from my financial institution?

There were multiple RMD (required minimum distributions) from the same financial institution throughout tax year 2021. Both federal and one state income taxes were withheld. However, no state information was imported to TurboTax.

It will be hard to tell what specifically went wrong, but TurboTax can only import information supplied by the company that created the file to be imported. You will have to enter the missing information manually. It is recommended that you always verify that imported information matches the paper copy of the statement you are importing into TurboTax.
