Why is turbo tax not allowing me to pay via refund?

Do I still have to enter credit card info. if I am paying via refund for taxes?

    You cannot pay taxes owed with a tax refund. 

    If you have taxes owed you will have to pay those taxes either with a mailed check, direct debit from your bank or by credit card, based on the options presented in the File section of the program on Step 2.

    TurboTax requires the credit card information as a back up plan in case the IRS does not pay that refund out to you for some reason.
