Question

Why is Turbo Tax Premier 2016 not compatible with OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan?

When I attempt to copy the CD to my applications folder the following error message appears: "Finder" can't complete the operation to "Applications" because some data can't be read or written (Error 36). Even my local Apple Store was unable to copy the CD to Mac Book's applications folder. What does Turbo Tax plan to do to correct this issue?

Error 36 is a file system error.  Probably the CD is bad, but find the program Disk Utilities and run First Aid on your hard drive just to be sure.  (You could also try cleaning the CD although that never works for me with rented DVDs.) Then, you will either need to exchange the CD where you bought it, or contact customer support for a replacement. Customer support can be reached via Twitter, Facebook or telephone. https://www.facebook.com/turbotax/ and https://twitter.com/TeamTurboTax.

For telephone and other support options, see the instructions below.

There appears to be some damage to the CD that cleaning didn't resolve. I'm exchanging the CD through Amazon.
