Why is TurboTax requiring me to pay twice to complete a prior-year's return that was started online but has to be finished with downloaded software?

The Help instructions for finishing a prior year's return that was started in TurboTax Online state: Purchase Desktop software; download .tax file from TT Online; then open .tax file in software.  So I paid for the software, but now when I try to download the .tax file, TT Online says I have to pay to access it.  Any solution to this?

Call Customer Support during their weekday working hours.  They should be able to unlock your Online account so that you can download that older .taxyyyy datafile without paying again.
