Question

Why my state taxes won't transmit? Check all my information and it is correct. Has anyone else had this problem. Won't transmit to IRS...?

We on the Community cannot see your tax return nor the screen you are on, so we cannot know why your state tax return won't transmit.

However, note that this year, California failed to make it possible for taxpayers with a Schedule C to e-file their returns (that it, it is nothing that TurboTax can fix).

If you have a Schedule C, you will have to print and mail your state return.

If you are receiving an error message about a different form (or about anything at all), please post it here so that we can help you.

This is very helpful. So if a person is self employed they must print and mail in their California Return. The transmission will not go through and you will not be given a reason why it will not be transmitted.
