Why when i go to type in a reply about my effort to get a w2 it says up to 120 characters allowed

There is a character limit on the subject line but there should be another field with more room for a question.

If your employer uses a company that is an import partner with TurboTax then you can try to import your W-2.  If not, ask them for another copy from your employer to file your tax return.

If it will not import and you cannot reach your employer to request a copy:

1. Take your last 2022 pay stub and call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040
2. The IRS will ask you for some info before following up with your employer
3. After notifying the IRS, you can either continue waiting for your W-2 or paper-file your return using Form 4852 and your last pay stub

look for the "add a line" or "add more lines" button.
