Question

Why, when I try to download my 2018 taxes I don't get a PDF only a Word document?

This document doesn't make any sense with symbols like the following:

It sounds like you are using Microsoft Edge.  The solution is log out of TurboTax, then switch browsers to Chrome or Firefox, log back in and download your pdf file again.

Option B is to just change the file extension to .PDF
