Will American college students studying abroad who have filed last in 2018 and are filed as a dependant under a parent be eligible for the Stimulus Package and how so?

I have a difficult relationship with my mom sometimes, and she is saying that she won't refile her taxes to un-claim me as her dependent. If this is important to eligibility for the stimulus package is there anything I can do? I currently do not live with her most of the time as I am studying in Norway and am unemployed.

If you were claimed as a dependent on your parent's tax return, depending on their income they will receive $500 for you as part of their stimulus check.

If you have no income, there is no reason to file a tax return. You cannot file a tax return with no income.

the parent will get the advance not the student also the student must be under 17.

As a college student, you are probably older than 16, so nobody will get any money for you - neither you (since your parent claimed you) nor your parent (since you're over 16). Bummer.
