Will I be penalized for filing my 2019 returns just now?

No you will not be penalized.  The filing deadline for 2019 returns has been extended to July 15, 2020.  If you are getting a refund, there is never a penalty for filing late, even if you are late.  There would only be a penalty for filing late if you owe tax due and do not pay it on time.  This year you have until 7-15-2020 to file and pay 2019 tax due.
