Will I be refunded the money TurboTax charged me when I filed my taxes?

Your fees for using the software to prepare your tax return are not based on how much your income tax refund will be -- or even whether you get a refund at all.  The fee is based on which version of the software you used to prepare your return.  The fee would be the same even if you owe tax due and also have to pay the IRS or state.

 If you started in the Free Edition and entered any data that required any extra forms or schedules, you have to upgrade to a paid version and if you are watching the screens carefully you are alerted to the upgrade.

• Remove a state
• Remove PLUS Help & Support
