We are very sorry for your loss.  Yes, when you file his return, you will be asked to complete a Form 1310,Statement of Person Claiming  Refund Due a Deceased Taxpayer.

TurboTax will ask whether the taxpayer died during the year and then ask for the date of death.  All income received prior to death should be included on his final return.

Information is included here to help you through the process.  If he had Federal withholding you will want to file for a refund.  Check your state filing requirements to see if you should file that as well.
