Yes - TurboTax will send you an email if your return is rejected., In the email will be the reason for the rejection and how to fix it. [You will also get an email when your return is accepted.]

@stphaniebuckner1 Have you checked your refund status on the IRS website? To track your Federal refund, visit the Where’s My Federal Refund? site. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.

Where’s My Refund? has a tracker that displays progress through 3 stages:

(1) Return Accepted "Received," (2) Refund Approved and (3) Refund Sent.

You would only receive notification from TurboTax if the return is rejected. TurboTax does not receive any information regarding your return once it is accepted. So the IRS is most likely still processing your return.

Even though the IRS issues 9 out of 10 tax refunds within 21 days, it's possible your return may require additional review and take longer to process.
