Will turbotax calculate if my ESPP stock sales are disqualified and qualified?

Hi there,

 

I'm doing my taxes and reporting some ESPP sales and I'm trying to figure out if TurboTax will know to calculate my ESPP stock sales as qualified or disqualified and tax accordingly. Depending on when I sell they should be taxed as income or as capital gains so do I need to worry about this or will turbotax do the math when I enter the information on my 3922?

    Yes, be sure to answer "Yes" when asked "Do these sales include any employee stock".   If you have Form 3922, you should have all the information you need to enter for TurboTax properly classify and calculate the type and amount of tax.   Do not import your 1099-B.  See the following TurboTax YouTube video on ESPP stock for more information:
