Would like to simply begin my 2024 tax return. Turbo Tax assumes I still haven't completed 2003. (I mailed it in). Can I be helped?

If you're referring to Online TurboTax (web version), you're trying too early. The Online version normally opens for the new tax year in early December, i.e., that's when you can start a 2024 return online preparation. On the other hand, the desktop version is available now (2024 software download to install on- your computer.)
