Write off cost of business building 2024? Where in turbotax?

You can depreciate the building in the Assets section of your business's Schedule C.   Open or continue your return.

1. Navigate to the Schedule C section:
   • TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to Schedule C.
   • TurboTax Desktop: Search for schedule c and select the Jump to link

Then click on Edit (or use the pencil icon) next to your business description.   Then, depending on your platform:

• In Desktop - scroll down to Business Assets to add building depreciation
• TurboTax Online - Click on Add Expenses, then scroll down below Less Common and put a check next to Assets, then click Continue.
