I am still trying to get all my information together. I filed an extension until Oct. 15th. Can I just send my return in without the information and amend later?

sure. but its a pain to amend. the other question is will the rental reporting increase your taxes. if so, you face penalties s for late payment. you can not file an amended return until the original is fully processed. it could take 4 to 6 months for an amended return to be processed.
