Selling idle items on second-hand trading platforms requires filling in W-9

You need to fill out a W-9 form to sell items over $600. How to fill in this?

Form W-9 is submitted to the company that is handling the transactions and paying you. 

It gives them the information they need to issue Form 1099-K (or 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC) to you for the tax year. 

You can print a W-9 and fill it out. 

If you are an individual, you won't have an EIN (Employer Identification Number), so will need to report your Social Security number to them (or file as a Self-Employed Taxpayer / Sole Proprietor and get an EIN for security reasons)

    I am self employed. Is it possible to submit W-9 online

    Contact the company you need to submit the W-9 to to see how they want it submitted.  They may have a online link for you to use.
