Your transmission didn't go through We could not e-file your return for the following reason: Duplicate Social Security Number: A tax return with the same SSN submitted?

The IRS has not even began accepting returns for 2020 until February 12th so how is it possible that I have already filed my return ? That's impossible so this must be an error as it does not even get to the point where it is allowed to be rejected by the IRS

The duplicate social security number error may be from a simple mistake. Please double-check what was entered in the MyInfo section for all individuals included on the return that the numbers are correct.

If there is an error, correct it and try e-filing again.
If everything was correct for all social security numbers, then click the link to contact TurboTax.

You are correct, the IRS will begin accepting 2020 tax returns on February 12, 2021.
