Question

Zip Code on turbo tax generated 1040 appears as 9 digit without dash, it this ok (showing 123456789 rather than 12345-6789)

    Yes, the IRS and States will be able to accept and process this, as the software reads the first 5 digits separately from the last 4 as does the IRS and States. Please note, however, that the IRS is not beginning to process returns for 2020 tax year until February 12th. Many States are following suit and many forms have yet to be finalized.
