Bottom Line (Tax Summaries)

Hello

I'm using the 2024 Turbo Tax version, and I cannot find the bottom line (tax summaries) which shows the carry forward amounts. Please can you advise where to find this under the new 2024 version?

Can you please specify which type of software you are using? Is it TurboTax Online or Desktop?

Turbo Tax Online.

In the 2023 (and older versions), I used to be able to see "Bottom Line (Tax Summaries)" and "Transfer for Next Year Summary" under the Review section.

In the 2024 version, it seems I cannot access these anymore? It seems I can only see "View detailed summary" located at the top of the page, which doesn't have the carry forward amounts.

In the detailed summary, you have the amount for Non-capital losses of other years (line 25200) and Net capital losses of other years (line 25300).

To have an amount displayed on one (or both) of these lines, you have to fill out the Losses profile for 2024. You will have to select what's applying for your losses profile and then continue. Follow the steps and, as soon as the profile is completed, the amount will show at the proper line on the detailed summary.
