I have always used TURBOTAX without issues.. it ALWAYS will show me my estimated CCB (Child Benefit ) for the following year.  THIS YEAR IT IS NOT!  I have done returns for two of my family members who each have

two children , and always receive a benefit.

Is this a glitch?

This is a desktop version, not online.  I purchase, as always, at Walmart

Please help  thank you!

You can find the estimated amount of CCB under the Review section.

    Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

    No it is not.
the annual estimated carbon tax rebate as well as their refunds are there … the annual gst/hst  credit is even there with a 0.00 but there is no estimated CBB

I HAVE GONE BACK TO THE 2023 turbo tax to compare side by side and doing everything the same

You're not the only one. I also noticed this in my 2024 Turbo Tax and was wondering if i did something wrong or if there was a glitch. I've been using Turbo Tax for years and always seen the estimated totals for CCB near the end and this is the first year its not there.

Thank God, I thought it was just me. I went through my return twice just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I even went back to check last year's return to see if I did anything differently. Everything's the same, it's just this year doent show it at all at the end. Will it screw up our child tax and how much we receive if we submit it without it showing? Curious and I don't want to lose anything.

I would wait to file for right now cause if you read in the forums there are a few topics on this problem and it sounds like TurboTax is working on a fix

There appears to be an issue with the CCB form that exists in the background of the TurboTax software for calculating the CCB amounts.

If you click on "Forms" view and then the Forms pop up from the bottom, then Form lookup... and search "CCB". You will see the form in question.

What I found well preparing mine, was that the Basic Benefit amounts did not seem to be correct, based on the information I put into my return (ie. number of dependents, dependent info, etc.).

So I believe Intuit is aware of this issue and therefore removed that estimate at the end of the tax filing, until they can implement the required fix to the issues.

Hopefully TurboTax team can pushing a fix for this soon. It would be nice to know these estimated amounts prior to filing.

The CCB is not taxable, so it doesn't need to be entered on your tax return. You'll see an estimate of the amount of CCB you'll get in the review section.

If you don't see the estimate, please clear your browser cache (or use a different browser) and try again.

Or you can use this calculator on the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website to see an estimate of your Canada child benefit (CCB): Child and family benefits calculator

    Hi Susan,

I have cleared my history/cache, did not work. I have also redone a new file - did not work.

Has there been a fix for this yet?

If I file my taxes with my CCB payment stating $0, will I still receive my CCB?

    @jlindsay27

Please contact our phone support team as they will be able to assist you further.

The CRA is the ones who determine if you are eligible for CCB when you file. What's in TurboTax is only an estimate, so if you are eligible you will get the CCB.
