Question

How do I get past my dependant's tax return section when he's never filed taxes before? Yes he earned income, but less than required to file. No T1 net income line 23600

Do I need to file his taxes now and wait until his notice of assessment is provided to get his net income amount to complete my own taxes? He is still in highschool living at home no expenses. I just want to finish my taxes asap.

    Has your son received a T4? If yes, then just enter the Net Income. This doesn't mean that he needs to complete an income tax return.
