Why am I being forced to pay $60 to file myself?

    What version of TurboTax are you using? Are you self-employed, or do you have any income shown in Boxes 20 or 48 of a T4A slip? You must report that income using the self-employment form if that is the case.

    Box 20 and Box 48. Box 20 is used exclusively to report self-employment commissions earned as a contractor or a freelancer. Box 48 is used to report self-employment income that is not commission-based.
