Yes, if this is your first home and you qualify as per the Canada Revenue Agency, you can claim a credit of up to $10000 for the purchase of a qualifying home in the 2022 tax return.

Please find below the steps on how to apply for first-home buyer credit:

1. Select Find from the menu and enter payments
2. From the list of search results, select Payments Profile, then select Go
3. Select the checkbox for First Time Home Buyer’s amount, then select Continue
4. Continue through the screens till you arrive to the First-Time Home Buyers' Tax Credit screen
5. Select Yes to the question: Do you want to claim the Home buyer's amount?
6. Answer Enter the amount of the credit you wish to claim on your return, then select Continue
