Question

I am Canadian citizen working abroad (Europe) and non-resident based on criterion. Can I file a $0 (Canadian) tax return as I will file all my earnings in France?

Yes, if you have no Canadian income, you can still file a Canadian return. But you will be asked about your foreign income, as it will be needed to calculate certain credits.

Please note that you need a Canadian or US credit card to pay for a TurboTax Online return. You can also use our mobile app to pay through Apple Pay or Google Pay.
