Question

I left Canada for the US in October of the tax year, but am not considered a resident in the US. What is my residency status?

I moved to the US in October of 2023, but am not considered a resident in the US for tax purposes. I made no income in the US during the two months I was in the US. I’m not sure what my residency status would be.

    To clarify your residency status, you should contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at 1-800-959-8281.
