Question

My partner and i cosigned on our current house. i have never owned a house before but he has owned this house prior to. with me being added do i qualify for the hbtc?

    No, you are not qualified for Home Buy Tax Credit because of the house that was owned by your spouse or common-law partner in the year of the acquisition or in any of the four preceding years.
