Hi,

In CY2023 I stopped renting out my house and moved back - it is my principal residence now. Do I have to declare it's value for Capital gains / loss purpose.

Thanks

As per our TurboTax article: Changing Your Principal Residence it looks like you will be declaring only if or when you sell the house. You should clarify this with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as some regulations have changed this year. Please call them at 1-800-959-8281.
