1099-B Form

I am going through the Analysis phase of my taxes.  It has selected my 1099-B Worksheet for review.  The boxes that are red are as follows: Columns d, e, g, h, i.  Box c is filled out.

Comparing what it's asking for, against what's on my 1099-B form:

d - No box 1, but boxes 1a-1g are there

e - No box 3

g - There is a box 2.  Turbotax is asking for a date, and my form has Long Term on it

h- Box 4 is 0 - enter $0?

i - Box 5 is a check box, not a $ amount.

It looks like I can just ignore these errors and continue onwards.  I just don't want to get audited.

Yes, you can continue to prepare your return.  The Worksheet is not filed with your return as it is a document for your records.  Have you reviewed your Investment sales summary and does it accurately reflect the gain/loss for your securities transactions?  If yes, then there is nothing more you need to do.  If not, then make whatever adjustments are necessary.

Would that be this section, first option?

Yes.  The investment sales from your Forms 1099-B will be shown under 'Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other' as shown in your image.

    • You can also use the search (upper right) 1099b > Click the Jump to... link to arrive at your list of sales.
