If I E-file 1099-NEC to IRS . DO I have to mail with regular mail a copy of the form 1099-NEC to state ? (California )

    Yes, you need to mail these forms 1099-NEC to the CA Franchise Board for those contractors who are full-year or part-year residents of California, whether or not they had withheld CA tax.

     

    The forms 1099-NEC have to be sent to:

    Franchise Tax Board, PO Box 942840, Sacramento, CA 94240-6090.
