My apologies if this has already been asked. Just filed taxes and was getting ready to make my 2022 contributions and found out that I need to sign a form for the money to be transferred over. I read that I have until April 18 to make this contribution correct? Will this affect my refund as the IRS should receive my return by Friday March 10.

Yes, you have until April 18 to fund your IRA and there is no connection between when you file your return and when you do your contribution.
