Question

A1099B for one of my trading accounts, for trading futures intraday, shows a net loss for the year in box 8. However, TurboTax is not showing a way to enter this loss.

Is it possible that intraday trading losses are considered "wash sales" or something, which don't allow declaration of losses?

    enter "section 1256" in the search box

    box 8 is the wrong box to enter. 1256 net gains or losses should be on line 11 - aggregate profit or loss on contracts but could be the same as line 8.   1256 contracts net gain or loss is entered on form 6781
