On Acorns, earn. If I buy something and they invest only Contribute $1.20 the calendar year Will I receive a 1099 miscellaneous for that amount? What? Is the threshold

    Acorns invests money for you.  That is just how you spend your money, that doesn't generate a 1099.

     

    However, as the money in your acorns account grows they will keep investing your money in the best way that they can.  That will sometimes involve buying and selling stocks.  If they sell any stocks for you THEN you will get a 1099.  You will have to report those sales. 

     

    But nothing to worry about until then.
