Air bnb co-host

My wife and I help the neighbor rent his cabin on Air bnb and are listed as cohosts.  We made less than 4k from this and it was paid directly from Air bnb.  Air bnb is stating they don't provide tax forms for income under 10k.  We will be doing this for a few years until he retires.  How do I report this on my taxes?

You will need to report the income on Schedule C Business Income and Expenses.  The income itself will be entered as 'cash' since there is not a tax document showing the amount.

For future reference, if Airbnb will be reporting the income on a tax document later using one of your Social Security numbers, that is the person who needs to be the owner of the Schedule C.  If you both will receive a tax document in the future, then create a Schedule C for each of you and split the income and expenses between the two businesses.

Use the information in the following TurboTax help article to get started with the Schedule C:

Where do I enter Schedule C?
