It would be reported on your W-2 if through your employer or you report it in schedule C if self employed.

Or do you mean a Traditional IRA and not a SIMPLE IRA?

As I understand simple ira is through your employer (which is what i have) and traditional is an ira other than simple to which you make a contribution. "Additional IRA" so to speak. So for my situation I can't claim deduction in the traditional IRA section correct?

No.  the SIMPLE would be reported by your employer in box 12 on yiur W-2

You do not report it again.
