Question

Can I enter past tax information (e.g., rental info.) into TurboTax if I have not used it previously?

I've used Excel previously and am considering switching.

If you mean from 2018 onto 2019, then NO.    You can only claim income in the tax year that it was received.  2018 income can only be claimed on a 2018 tax return.

Thanks much for your response. I'm not referring to income in a given year but to historical information such as rental property depreciation history. I have all of that currently in Excel and am trying to assess the level of effort in moving to TurboTax and transferring needed historical data.

No, TurboTax can not do that.
