Can you claim the solar tax credit on more than one home

I have two rental properties, both each got their solar panels installed in 2024. When I claim the solar credit, it asked for the solar cost. Do I add them together and enter it there? next page asked for the address. how do I enter more than 1 address?

are you trying to claim the Residential Clean Energy or Efficient Home Improvement credit? only your personal residences qualify, not rental properties.

Im not sure, There's verbiage of both but I'm thinking it's the Residential clean energy which is located under personal --> deductions & credits --> home energy credits. The little "learn more" button says, "enter the amount you paid for any property that uses solar energy to generate electricity for use in your home. The home does not need to be your main home. However, you may not include costs allocable to a swimming pool or hot tub."

That is the wrong place to enter it.  That is for personal-use properties.

I am unsure where the credit for business/rentals is located.  It may mention "ITC" or "Form 3468".
