Cannot delete sale of business property...

I incorrectly entered the sale of my home as business property... now I cannot delete it. Every time I try to go in and edit it the screen just goes back to my income summary page... I have tried deleting the forms among many other things that have been recommended in these threads, but still no luck. How do I fix this??

How to edit or delete sale of business property (Form 4797)?

Open or continue your return, search for sale of business property (use this exact phrase; copy/paste if necessary) and then select the Jump to link at the top of your search results.
On the Any Other Property Sales? screen, make sure the first checkbox is checked and Continue to the next screen.
The next screen, Sale of Business or Rental Property, should display Edit and Delete buttons next to the property in question.
Select the appropriate button and follow the onscreen instructions to either edit or delete the 4797.

Thank you- I have done this, but the only option in that list of properties is called 'Copy 1' and is just blank when I go in to edit it. If I delete it, nothing changes and the income from the gain still remains on the summary of my return... It really appears to be a glitch as far as I can tell because none of the suggestions I am able to find online seem to lead to any solutions here...

You may be forced to clear your return.

As long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered, you can erase your return and start from scratch in TurboTax Online.

Sign in and select a topic to continue your return.
On the next screen, from the left-side menu, select Tax Tools, and then Clear & Start Over (select the menu icon in the upper-left corner if you don't see this menu).

Answer Yes in the pop-up to confirm.

I went into the rental income section and deleted the part where I indicated that I sold the home. And that worked. I'm still struggling with the military extension of the capital gains tax though. Ugh.
