Me and my spouse it filing tax jointly and our child is 18 still a full time student has a W-2 <1000 as income

1. In my Tax filing can I continue include her as a dependent?

2. Does she need to file her own tax return?  Her total wages is < $1000 but has both Social Security Taxes and Medical Taxes with held in 2022.

Note: She is a on H4 Visa with EAD due to pending I485

Thank you

No. She does not need to report her income unless she paid federal taxes and would like to receive a refund from those federal taxes.  Social Security Taxes and Medical Taxes withheld are separate taxes and are not refundable.

Thanks, her W2 don't have any federal tax withheld, but has State tax that was withheld.

You may wish to file a state return to receive back the refund.
