Does undefined work mean the work you complete or the work you didn't do relating to miles driven to fix up rental property?

Undefined work is not an actual question. When you are entering a vehicle into the rental section, the screen asks for total miles driven in the vehicle, miles used for your rental, and the breakdown. Commuting miles are also a question. Any other miles driven are considered personal use. All miles are defined.

I wonder if "undefined work" is the title the program is using and you have a blank for a property or business rather than a name or address.

It asks: "Now, enter the miles you drove just for your undefined work in 2024"

I tried to move on without entering anything, it showed this message:

"Please add your work-related miles"

You need to enter the name of the business or rental property related to this mileage expense.

For now, simply enter the miles you drove for this activity on the current page and continue back to the business/rental summary page. Then edit the business/property profile to add a name.
