Question

Error on wash sale

I imported my 1099-B form from e-trade.  I have a wash sale for $.15 and another one for $.53.  I have an error that says Adjustment code(s) should not have an entry when a disallowed wash sale amount is entered.  Remove the disallowed wash sale amount and include the adjustment here, or manually remove this manually entered adjustment code.  The problem is that turbo tax lets me do neither.  The total amount is less than $1 yet turbo tax won't let me file my taxes without correcting.  How do I correct?

We are aware that some of our customers are having an issue with 1099-B's incorrectly importing with adjustment code N instead of adjustment code W.

Depending on how many transactions you have, deleting the imported 1099-B and entering the information manually is an alternative.

    Rachel,

This error still shows up using TT Premier. Instead of six errors when running Smart Check, I now get one error. Please let me know when this software bug is fixed.

    Thanks,
