Expenses of selling rental property'

Before selling a rental home, I spent $7,300 to remove a huge, dangerous tree. Where do I report this?

    If removing the tree was necessary for the sale of the rental, its costs can be added to sale expenses at the time you sell the property. This would help reduce your capital gain.
