Question

For long term gain of mutual fund shares acquired on multiple dates a long time ago. What do I enter in TurboTax field "Date Acquired"? Turbotax now rejects that entry!

In previous years I could enter "Various". Turbotax now rejects that entry.

if the 1099-B is not showing a date, then I would just use a date in the last year you believe you acquired them. 

but are you sure? the desktop version allows various by just typing v in the date acquire box. you must also select the 8949  box b, c, e or f which will populate both the holding period (s or l) and the basis reported to IRS box
