Question

For some reason the 2023 Turbotax entry format for Capital Gains transactions has been made totally unusable. Any way to revert back to what used to work?

The format, functionality and usability are all terrible.  The program will say "needs review" without operative links to actually make that review.  Its like the poorer/newer version of Outlook but at least Microsoft, recognizing that 'new' is often worse than 'old' gives the user the opportunity to elect to revert to the 'old' (better) model.  Turbotax simply seems degraded

Please clarify which version of TurboTax you are using and where you are working in the program. What steps did you take to arrive at the Capital Gains entry topic?

Turbo Tax Premier 2023

Entry is done the ONLY way its apparently doable through "Stock, Mutual Fund and Other Investment Sales" as it has been done for years.   But NOW (2023) this process and software has been massively degraded and is far less user friendly than the system and process that existed previously

Are you working in TurboTax Online or the Desktop version? What type of capital gain are you trying to enter? If you edit the transaction you entered, are there questions that need to be answered or messages in a red font directing you to add information?

A complete description of your experience would be helpful, as well as how you believe the entry process has become less user-friendly.
